DozeFace
Creating calmer stories for overstimulated minds.
DozeFace began with the belief that adults deserve bedtime stories too.
Originally conceived as animated bedtime stories for anxious adults, the project responds to a growing desire for calmer, more intentional media. Today, DozeFace operates as an Animation Lab exploring animation and CG experiences that support rest while creating sustainable opportunities for artists.

ROLE BREAKDOWN
At its core, my role is to help the lab move from idea to action while maintaining a strong sense of purpose and creative integrity.
I am the leading founder and producer of DozeFace, and the originator of its core vision as a bedtime storytelling lab for adults. I lead production strategy and operations for the lab, overseeing development, scheduling, resourcing, and collaboration. DozeFace began as an idea I initiated after recognizing the creative potential of the artists in my ecosystem and wanting to build something meaningful together. I guide partnerships and industry outreach, represent the lab at events, lead meetings, onboard collaborators, and plan many of our initiatives and research directions. Alongside these responsibilities, I also contribute creatively as a writer and compositor and spend significant time shaping workflows, building production pipelines, and providing creative feedback across the team.
MY PROCESS
Ultimately, I believe meaningful wellbeing content begins with a team that feels supported, curious, and free to experiment.
My approach to DozeFace is grounded in curiosity, collaboration, and intentional pacing. I often begin by asking what we can build with the people and capabilities already around us. Through regular brainstorming sessions and ongoing user research, the team explores ideas that feel emotionally resonant while remaining open to experimentation. I also try to remain in a constant learning posture, approaching the work with humility and a willingness to evolve alongside the artists and audiences we serve. Partnership is central to how the lab operates. I try to champion the interests of the artists involved, creating an environment where people can deepen existing strengths while also developing new ones. Just as importantly, I believe that wellbeing focused work must be created by a team that is itself supported and healthy. For that reason I try to prioritize care, balance, and mutual respect alongside creative ambition. This mindset also extends to the kinds of work we explore. DozeFace experiments across multiple formats, including narrative animation, projection mapping,
and application based storytelling.
BEDTIME STORIES
DozeFace was created in response to a growing but underserved audience of anxious adults seeking gentler media at the end of the day. We believe bedtime stories are not nostalgic artifacts, but functional tools for rest, reflection, and emotional regulation. Our work explores how animation can support the universal need to slow down, especially in an increasingly overstimulated media landscape.
Our projects are informed by ongoing user research focused on understanding anxious audiences and their relationship to rest. We design specifically for overthinkers, escapist dreamers, and nostalgic comfort seekers, using research insights to guide tone, pacing, and format. This research-driven approach allows us to balance emotional resonance with intentional design.
“Nadia is not only a skilled producer but also an artist in her own right. To me, one of the most important traits of a great leader is the ability to truly know their team, to recognize individual strengths, and to dream for and dream with the people they are guiding. Nadia embodies all of this.”
